A Blue Odyssey-An Adventure in Paradise

June 04, 2024 For Anoucheka Gangabissoon Contest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thrilling explorations enlivened with adventure, As my soul longs for a most special blue venture. The indulgent warmth of the sun revitalized me, Once having landed in this paradisiacal arcady. Palm twigs drift in a gentle breeze, Infinite stretches of exquisite white sand seas. Crystal-clear waters define a sapphire-sand idyll, Archipelago of high-quality atoll and island tidal. The locals saluted me with such a wide smile, Their warmth and compassion are a lifestyle. Finding heaven filled me with immense pride, Embraced by the breathtaking scenery to abide. Weeks turned into months, and days went away, As I danced beneath the sky, I felt freed to sway. However, an enormous urge sprang from inside, For the sake of my native nation and kin pride. I finally reached a choice as time passed, I started to obsess over my house, never stashed. The island, however, will stay in my mind, I retain them as a spiritual treasure left behind.

Luxurious vocabulary is infused in this astounding piece Dear Sotto. Some things cannot leave our thoughts. "The island, however, will stay in my mind, I retain them as a spiritual treasure left behind." A lovely way to put it. You have such a great talent and ways with words, depth and structure. Cheers.

SP, Sounds like a superb visit and change of lifestyle. The music you posted gets more complex at the end with the guitar and piano solos (yes I listened) and the ending of the piece does instill a sadness that its over. However, the theme in the music was very simple and I can still hear it in my mind. Your poem does the same for me. You illustrate with words how we never forget where we've been. It is as you say a real treasure to be able to think back on it.

Very exotic lines throughout this islandish poem, youv used words that fit the theme of island nature very well here! Brilliant rhymes too! I especially loved the lines “ Weeks turned into months, and days went away, As I danced beneath the sky, I felt freed to sway. ” beautiful flow! And love the crystal clear waters and sapphire sand! Must be white sapphire! Pleasure reading your work. Best wishes for the contest! I think youv described a tropical island very well
