A Bleeding Heart

Your promises cut like shards of glass And memories remain like stains That show for everyone to see like gloss And hopes of another love keep me sane As I've tripped on the same trap yet again Prepared to be a fool of love I kneeled As I traded my pride for love A fabricated fantasy which I held But this was a pickled I couldn’t solve For you had given my love to another Now my sorrows weigh heavy As bitterness wounds me softly And my empty heart is left to bleed For these memories I hold deed Cave in resentment that kills. My heart still bleeds For I forget not

Awwww, Ronny. I hope this is a work of fiction, though it sounds like it's straight from the heart. Stunning write, my friend. Licia :-)
