A Beauty To Rescue

It’s always a wonder how women can alter
The heart and the soul of a man;
It’s hard to imagine another way out when
He’s doing the best that he can.

As men, we’ve been wired to look for an answer
By simply fulfilling our craving;
We’ve got to be seeking a beauty to rescue,
A woman that’s worth all the saving.

Adventurous Woman will often excite us
And want us to take her and run;
And while we are running, we’ll start to take notice
To see if she’s really the one.

The one who will never dishearten herself just
By putting us back in the game;
We’d strengthen ourselves, not by slaying the dragon,
But simply by breathing her name.

A man becomes Hero for Woman and saves her,
From everything under the sun;
But questioning thoughts will begin in his thinking
To see if she’s really the one.

Her voice may be soothing and soft to the ear and
Her words fill his muscles with spirit;
But when she starts calling for others to save her,
It’s hard to believe we can hear it.

So here’s a solution I offer to those who
Would fathom a doubt of her love;
Just follow these steps and then watch her response
To see if she’s really the one:

If you love her…let her go,
Let her do her own thing and be free,
And if she comes back, that’s when you’ll know
If it was ever really meant to be.
