A Bad Time

When she died we gave her to our Lord.
My heart felt like it was cut with a sword.

My eyes filled with tears as she was being carried.
I felt our lives falling apart the day she was buried.

No matter how long we had her it wasn't enough time.
To take a mother from her children should be a crime.

They say she's in a better place now.
If that is true please explain to me how?.
                      Teresa Skyles

Another week has come and gone and I haven't been able to read as much this week as I had wanted. I am glad I was able to read your poetry today Teresa. So sorry for your loss my friend I also lost my mother and the pain is just as bad now as it was then. The best to you in HG's contest. Keep your pen scrolling don't let the ink dry up. I hope you have a wonderful weekend of sunshine and joy and find lots of inspiration along the way. Love, Carol
