I still remember the night
You first landed in my sight.
The bar was busy and loud,
But I saw you through the crowd.
You were more man than boy
And you left me feeling shy and coy.
I remember the smile on your face;
The way it made my heart flutter and race.
We talked the night away,
Until the barman said we couldn’t stay.
You took things slowly,
Because you were older than me.
From text, movies to dance,
We both took a chance
To find a love that could be true;
And it brought me you!
So even though we’re years apart,
You will always have my heart.
Even when we’re both old and grey,
I’ll never go away.
