9 11 Tribute

A mother rolls out of bed to the alarm clock going

Beep! Beep!

She looked up in disbelief,

closes her eyes and hopes its all a dream.

When she opens them again she doesn't know what to think.

Should she cry?

should she hide?

She just looks at you.

To believe what the television was showing is more then a terrifying stare.

It's not right!

It's unfair!

She watches the first plane hit the tower as it came crashing to the ground in a matter of an hour.

Then tower two went up in flames. but no one saw that plane

Unable to move froze in her own footsteps,

You could see all the thoughts and emotions race to the other side of her mind.

She sits and thinks to herself, what should I be thinking about.

The awful mess?

the lives that were lost?

the lives that were saved and covered in ash?

As she sat there in a dead gaze watching this tragic attack

She wonders who,

would want to do this to our name the USA

Land of the free and home of the brave.

HI, Cory, yes, it was like this for many of us on that fateful day. You wrote it how it happened and how you felt. Nice one! Luv, Andrea
