911

9/11/2001
A day of darkness
The sky is gray all around me
Ash falling down like snow
Sirens screaming
Frantically fumbling through the debris just to get free

People crying in the streets
Searching every face they meet
Heavy hearts with tear soaked eyes
A moment to think I’m alive

How can I help? What can I do?
Somehow we will make it through
Altogether is how we stand many years on this precious land.

How quickly people responded with helping hands, how quickly some returned to complacency, nicely done, blessings, Carl
