8:46 Time Elapsed

It was 8:46: Eight minutes and forty six seconds to solemnly remember; George Floyd desperately gasping for breath; until, he transitioned yonder. Though he pleaded and cried, with every breath, that couldn’t be sounded louder; Even bystanders joined, echoing his dying pleas, to this the cops didn’t even bother. Derek Chauvin kept kneeling on his neck until he could breathe no longer; His colleagues also, didn’t “Protect and Serve,” because of him, they were fonder. They all facilitated the deadly act; therefore, all charged with this callous murder. Alas! His time is done; George is gone; every family member now a mourner; “The straw that broke the camel’s back,” of this sad case we now consider. Enough! Enough is enough! This ends here and now – Black Lives Matter! The ‘value’ of our flag and constitution must be “felt” equally to make this better; Another heinous incident of this nature, we would much rather not encounter. Every black person; every patriotic, empathetic white; be an angry protestor; Liberty, equality, justice and impartiality must be for all – regardless of colour. Racist profiling, bigotry, hatred and discrimination, has got to end forever; We must love our neighbours as ourselves and be our brother’s keeper. End By: Dion Penville
