One lonely, beating heart A rhythmic, pulsating, hypnotic sound Draws you into it's misery Looking to reap discord In those who don't partake in it's affliction Have you ever heard the sound of a lonely, beating heart That is stained with the knowledge of unrequited love It is the most painful sound one can hear A sound heard for miles Heard for years I hear it For every breath causes such a heart to resound once more A ringing throughout my chest, my brain, my ears For, it is my lonely, beating heart It is my unrequited love It is my stain
