Daniel Port Poet Verse

6 To 8--Melody of Sadness

Call me home instead and heat my soul
as I roam with you, my autumn
healing the curse of season's scars
fulfilling my quest's return to a patient self..
It is cold and this soul needs a haven,
a reflective pause from all wretched noise
perhaps a soft litany of prayers..
the kind which blesses this season
