Why does my heart beat at this alarming rate?
When adrenaline comes on an irregular basis
I don't really know who i am anymore
I'm wearing a different uniform
I'm not wearing a shako
Or carrying my favored brass instrument

I'm waering a runners uniform
With running shoes

I can't take my time
But run my heart out
Instead of playing what I love
I try to compete with the wind
