350,000 BABIES
350,000 are babies born each day across our planet Earth.
They look to us, their parents and adults,
to give their hopes and dreams and wishes birth.
To teach them how to use their voice to communicate…
their ears to listen and their eyes to truly see…
To teach them how everyone deserves their love
their respect, their compassion, their kindness and empathy.
To encourage them to think for themselves.
To show them when and how to give and take.
To show them hard work and perseverance are important
and how to learn from their mistakes.
To foster their self-confidence, their self esteem…
their overall attitude…
To teach them to be curious, to never to stop learning
and the importance of gratitude..
To teach them to be honest, to be healthy in body and in mind
Did I mention, when it comes to others, to teach them
how to be loving, respectful, empathetic, compassionate and kind?
And while we are teaching all these things…
I wish we were also doing more
to bring them into a world without hatred, poverty and war.
If we can instill in these 350,000 innocent babies
these honorable and virtuous features…
they will be ready for the 350,000 babies born
when they become the teachers.
And perhaps if everyone learns these lessons there will come a day
a day we are hoping and praying tor
when no baby will be brought into a world
filled with hatred, poverty and war.
