Happy 31st birthday
Thirty flew by very first
But not fast enough to leave unwanted baggage’s in the past
Promises made to self were broken repeatedly
But still I will smile I’ve made it another year
Happiness so far seems like a cheating lover
One minute it’s here with sweet words and promise to stay for good
Next minute its gone, leave me sad and gloom
While cheating lover can be do without, happiness can’t
I am grateful for knowing its touch,
though it’s warmth somethings fade before it rekindles
31st, 11323 days since I drew my first breathe
Since then I have taken many of first steps
Some I remembered like yesterday
Like learning to ride a bicycle at 14 going on 15
Some firsts were too old and I too young to remember
Like the first time I walked, the first time I danced
But still I love them all walking, dancing and cycling
Happy 31st year old
Old, still a foreign concept being old
So is being a husband, a father, a responsible adult
These are what I count myself as now
I am no longer that child that run to feel faster than cars
No longer feel fearless and on top of the world
31st years have thought me cautions
But there are times these years evaporate and I’ll cartwheel and set myself free
Happy happy happy 31st birthday to me
Born on 30th of September 1986
Allah has been kind to me
So, I will keep smiling for have made it another year
Alihamdulillahi, I gave thanks and praises to Allah
