Early childhood footsteps found
On cliffs at sunset time,
Near rolling waves that spray and pound
At the end of foaming gold.

Resting in a rocky chair
While flights are heading Northerly,
I smell the ocean in the air
And watch the surging sea.

The wind it blows into my face
While gulls their courses take,
Calming as the stars appear
And people wishes make.

Gosh, this is good. WAs it written on this date?? Or is it only ABOUT the date?(from when you mentioned childhood footsteps.) I sure would not be able to think of many specific dates from my long ago childhood!

The title in this case was the date it was written. I happened to be watching a sunset near where I went to Nursery School (1952 ?), and the "footsteps" were in the same area.
