30 Shades of May

Thirty Shades of May

Did my stimulus show up today?
Do these masks really have to stay?
What the hell happened, we say
Can toilet paper be added as mainstay?
When can our children go and play?

Will social distancing keep the virus at bay?
Are these conspiracies theories cray cray?
Some waters are now blue, not gray, they say
Will Chinas government be made to pay?
Will essential businesses change day by day?

How much more disinfectant need I spray?
How can I spin this to be semi- gay?
We need more masks on that hospital tray!!
Will the entire economic system fray?
Where will all the dead bodies lay?

Shall our planet simply become a flambeau?
Are we still in the flowery month of May?
"What the hell happened?", we say
Talking bout people they want to spay?
Lean in closer you beautiful blue Jay

Did the President suggest we just. ..parlay?
How many deaths reported by that international djay?
"What the hell happened?", we say
Will we need all that fresh mown hay?
Or, our new world is vegetarian now everyday?

How long will our life be on delay?
Did the news brief just blame the attache?
"What the hell happened?", we say
Could we really be lead so astray?
Are we still in the month of flowery May?

A very good poem indeed Donna why did it happen, an accident maybe, or is it our modern world where people globally daily travel - this caused the infection to spread and about about these tragic deaths. Boundaries should have been shut down and no travel allowed from way before - South Africa was declared a State of Emergency and was locked down in Mid March by our outstanding President Ramaphosa. May the dead rest in peace. Blessings, Jennifer.

Super poem . We all have so many questions. I leave all the answers to God. He is the only one who knows them. I do the best I can with the information I am given. I pray for people every where to Keep a level head filled with love, peace, and serenity mostly to be safe. There are no words to describe the loss of a family member. In my prayers.
