9 years today we did wed
We went against what everyone said
Through the rough we always smile
I think me and you will last a while

9 years ago we didn't know
How much life would change and how we would grow
But I still would always pick you
Me and you will always make it through

9 years ago we were full of smiles 
Nerves too I guess, but never in denial
We said I do and knew we had, 
Something special , though not everyone was glad

The past 9 years have been a blast
Oh the many times we have laughed
There's been tears and not nice words 
Every marriage has its terms

9 years ago I looked at you with awe
That look has remained untouched 
9 years ago I became your wife
And that's the only way I want to stay for life

You look after me in ways I don't deserve
You love me even when I get on your last nerve
You fight my battles when I cant
You sit and listen to all my rants

So on this day I want to say
You changed my life in so many ways
I would always choose you
I know we will make it through

9 years of marriage has changed me for the better
This poem is my love letter
I love you more than I could ever say
I know our love is here to stay

I just hope you feel the same. I love you xxxx
