I heard
about the
towers catch on fire,
As planes hit them.
Now we,
 step into,
the future,
with our,
first black president and his family.
Tsunami wiped out hundreds in India.
like the,
war on,
Iraq has done to many.
Y2k was a big deal to,
everyone thought their computers would fail.
I have seen some interesting stuff,
Afghanistan another huge name.
Decade filled with possibilities,
opening doors,
to opportunities.

Interesting and thought provoking content, Cory! Well done and written. It is good to see the door to many new opportunities when in the midst of yet much turmoil. I think you are right. Thanks for shairng and thank you for comments on my latest. Caroline.

Interesting... My great Aunt went from the horse and buggy to last year... She was apart of towns springing up on the prairie and watched Men landing on the moon... And always another war to end all wars before she died at 106. May your life be as interesting.

So many memories recounted in this wonderful poem, Cory. The longer we live, the more we witness events that leave lasting impressions. If this is for Nette's contest, I wish you success. Love, Carolyn

I am so impressed by your poem, Cory! The story is from the dark pages of history and beautifully and truthfully written. -Mohammad

Interesting write Cory. A few years back, I was talking to a young man who was lamenting that his generation really had no defining moments - that was before 9/11. We both lived in the shadows of thw WTC Towers. His defining moments came with quite a roar and many tears. We both lost a number of loved ones, a bit of innocence, and the ability to laugh for awhile. Your write brought all of this back to me - in a nice, well written kind of way. Joe
