this year 
has gone by
oh so fast
with everlasting
memories.

this year
has gone by
with many
tears and
goodbyes.

this year
has gone by
bringing
both pain
and joy.

this year 
has gone by
with both
hope and
despair.

the new year
has come.
its finally here.

my resolve?
to live.
not in the past.
not in the future.
but in the now.
in the here.
in the fore.
accepting anything
that comes my way.
as a challenge.
as an opportunity.
as a gift.
