1 For My Baby

A year ago, unfamiliar to each other,
Pushed into a world of chaos, you came
And made sense of it all.
Naked, and clinging to my warmth
Love was instantaneous,
Naked, and clinging to your wisdom
Life began again.
A year ago, unfamiliar to each other
Now life without you would be barren,
Fed happy upon your smiles and your laughter,
Full and content,
Walking baby steps beside you,
I too am learning.
A year ago, unfamiliar to each other
Now as necessary as the air I breathe
A year ago, pushed into a world of chaos,
You came and made sense of it all.
