Notes About The Poem

More grateful and thankful, every year, to have the wife I have.

!948's my favorite year
It's the year that you were born
The day was April 23rd
As for the time I am forlorn

I know that you have told me
But it's lost within my mind
Please forgive my forgetfulness
If you would be so kind

That day is only five away
I'll give this to you then
Then you'll know I've not forgotten
That for me would be a sin

Now that you are reading this
It's once again that day
And I've written a few words for you
Here's what I have to say

In '69 you came to me
And you became my wife
Don't know what I would have done
Without you in my life

Happy birthday to you
It's happier for me
For I love you more than anything
I can only hope that you agree

Love always, Frank
