12,000 Miles

A friend of a friend on my Facebook page, You spotted my joke and thought you’d engage In a little exchange of repartee. And soon it was e-mails, just you and me. Fifty-five yards away when I first saw Your sweet face appear at Terminal Four. And twenty-five from your radiant smile, As I turned to watch you walk down the aisle. Now nothing’s between us since that great day. Twelve thousand miles is a very long way 31st March 2021 Rhyming Couplets poetry contest Sponsor - Janice Canerdy

Bryn, you have penned a beautiful rhyme with fine couplets. I enjoyed hearing about how you and your wife met and engaged. A nice tribute.
