100 Years of Joy
I have known her for less than 15 out of her 100 plus years.
The years I have known her could be spelled in one word. JOY.
It is the JOY that she has brought to so many others.
It is the delightful JOY that I have seen on her face.
There is a quality of life embracing her that one can feel.
Like a blanket, that quality embraces her and warms others.
On several occasions, I heard her speak of her longevity.
From her own perspective, it appears to be a mystery.
With an air of inquisition and a tone of sincerity, Mary often
says, "I don't know why The Lord is keeping me here so long".
I don't know if Mary will ever receive a satisfying answer, but
I'd say that 100 years of pure joy from her is reason enough.
