0 Out of 3 Is a Lost Cause

Mother you're a lost cause
you lost 3 kids and 2 in-laws

didn't speak to your mother or sister
now have no other, too much for your mister

You grew up unhappy,
aware of the problems,
yet you did the same,
blind to the options.

Your mother didn't care
your kids think it too
but when they think that
they're thinking of you

Nobody is perfect
but people progress
life is for learning
you forever know less

Your kids have 3 stories
your in-laws have 2
5 points of reason
you claim it's not you

the 5 points of reason
spread out over time
recycle the season
repeating the crime

You make people angry,
you pushed them away,
now left without family,
until your death day.

This is so true of many women and yes, even mothers. We pretend it does not happen, but it does time over time. Wow! A heartfelt write. Thank you for being brave and sharing this one.
