00:29 - More Alive Than Today

And why are there tears for the words gone before,
When I'm not even sure if they're true anymore?
What cause should I have to look back with disdain,
To a much bleaker time, when all written was pain?
In a long-gone child-winter, a child to thaw
Laid blank in the Sun, not child anymore.
And now that your face is a stranger today,
And stranger acquaintances got in the way,
There's not any sadness, there's not even pain,
Just a wholeness... or numbness...
They both feel the same.

Such true words reflecting the harsh truth of life. Time heals everything. People once loved remain forgotten as the sands of time unfold. I can relate to this poem. Very well written.
