The Ridddle
Once upon a time in a treehouse of lights Lived a beautiful princess Whose beauty did delight Her dad made a proclamation That any man who wanted to marry her Must be smart enough to answer a riddle For each suitor that came The riddle was posed But none found the right answer But the old frog in the pond heard of the princess and the riddle too The answer to which the old frog knew! So he leapt out the pond So happy was he That a lovely princess he would marry To the treehouse he went And the riddle was posed: "What comes once in a minute Twice in a moment but never in a thousand years" When the frog answered correctly the king was in shock How did this frog the riddle unlock? The princess came out with tears in her eyes And said to her dad "Father is this wise? The king then replied as his face he did wince "For all we know he could be a prince" And then the princess kissed the frog And lo and behold! He turned into a prince With a crown of gold!
