This Wythenshawe
This Wythenshawe I look at the people and I wonder and think Does she really believe, that bright blue goes with pink Is she really attractive with the stud through her lips Her belly button showing and her jeans bought pre ripped This Wythenshawe I watch as the people, go to shops for their wares Wearing pyjamas , some in underwear My Mam would turn, in her grave I swear To see how some people, just do not care This Wythenshawe I watch the young kids, in the hot summer heat With their thick slit eyed hoods and the Nike,s on their feet With their mountain bike steed, with Pit Bull on the heel Watching me, watching you, for what they can steal This Wythenshawe The gang on the rail bridge, watching the trains The white lightning cider fuddling their brains Our garden city will never be the same The goal posts have changed, it's the name of the game This Wythenshawe. The nurse in the hospital, we all fall in love The care, the attention, it's always above The man with the dog who say's you Ok Then you know that tomorrow's another day This Wythenshawe This Wythenshawe is just, another place on the pond Better than nowhere, no more right or more wrong You write the lyrics, you write the song Tell me i'm right, tell me i'm wrong This Wythenshawe I grew in this city, the drugs and the scrawl One learns to walk before they can crawl But one thing I learned in the midst of it all Even a midget must make himself tall This Wythenshawe
