Repeat Offenders
I'm a criminal. And I got 6-to-life for a crime that I will recommit. But we are all repeat offenders Consciously committing consistent crime. It's a universal sitcom. Humanity sitting at the world's largest dinner table passing the right or wrong thing, to the wrong or right person at the right (or wrong) time. Mugging Peter because Paul needs to get paid. Here, have some warm weather! (Sorry about the polar bears.) Will you please pass the peas? (With just a sprinkle of GMO's.) Laugh at the irony. Laugh to keep from crying (or dying) while readjusting, realigning continually trying for a 5th dimension where the Avengers really do save the day. It's Thanksgiving dinner. But when the sweet potatoes finally get around to you someone has eaten all the marshmallows. & you take the last piece of white meat - turkey before you pass the platter. Criminals. Repeatedly violating each other's rights to happiness to life, to love, to choose, to the right side of the bed (will you move over), as we right wrongs, wright relationships, and write the stories of our lives. So I’m a lifer. & as the bars clang shut behind me - there's no getaway. Because I did it. I do it. It's been done to me. Repeat offender.
