If the sky was always yellow and pink, And the tree trunks were decorated with silver sequins, Could the grass be red? The stars be purple? A milky white sky at night to show off these purple stars? What of fruits? Could we love blue bananas and orange apples? Could we fathom eating something that looked new? How poetic can we lull our sensitivities into tolerating? What would happen if we woke up and tomorrow was pink And Red and yellow and orange and there was no blue at all Until we stumbled upon a banana on our way to the coffee? What then? Could we deal? Would our houses be laughing Or would there be stony silence, anger, rage about the changes? How flexible is your mind? How ready to diversify are you?
