Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required In my head, I hear silence. The thoughts I once had welcomed were gone and not coming back. All I feel is numbness and sorrow, nothing more nothing less. I try to think of all the other happenings going on in the world and yet, images do not come to mind, only sounds. The sounds of starving children in the night, hoping and wishing of a different life. The melancholy sounds of a church choir singing of faith and new beginnings. The gut wrenching sounds of a parent crying because their child is not getting the life they deserve. Alas, among that sorrow I can hear the content sounds of a funny bicker between two new lovers arguing over where to eat. The sounds of a rhyme school children are singing while jumping rope. I can hear the awe in someone's voice as they experience something in a new light and realize that the world is an amazing, uncharted place. In my empty head, all the sounds of the world begin to fill my head and I am given a new realization, some are given better opportunities and others have been thrown aside like ragdolls. All people, rich and poor, light and dark, sad and happy are fighters. At some point in their lives, they have fought off some darkness. If they can, why can't I?
