trying mirror

The window glass is a new look —
Curtains shy against the pane's ribs.
A reflection of me she took
By thermal eyes' surface wires shook
Where comeback fire, bottomless stood.
My face like the glass, Stygian
The window glass is a new look —
Curtains shy against the pane's ribs.

This is gorgeously eerie, Paige--there’s a haunted stillness to it, like staring into both a window and a memory. “My face like the glass, Stygian” gave me chills. I love how the poem flickers between presence and absence, reflection and distortion. A mirror poem that sees far more than just the surface.

Oh, my brain is getting a cramp because I've read and read and tried to determine exactly what's being said, but I'm still not quite sure yet, regardless, I love the imagery and poetic feel. So, I'm baffled about not having a clue and yet exciting from the read. But, I live baffled ... CayCay
