~ Daisies grow on the ground -
when the morning sun shines through the gallows ~
                                                                            quote by poet

                                  Towering, ancient oak trees and
                                  rows of weathered tombstones
                                          cast long shadows
Every scratch and edge tells its own story,
and reflects the passage of time
                                   In the moonlight they create
                               a melancholy and eerie atmosphere
Intuition reveals itself as a glimpse,
                                captures the essence of mortality

We are born, we grow up we grow elderly and then we die. we end up in a grave in an eerie cemetery, which is lit by a sad looking moon at nights, and a lifeless feeling during the day. A very human poem interpreting a ghostly scary ending, a last journey to an eerie spooky space, a cemetery who no one can escape. HUGS, Jennifer.

Anne-Lise, this is an important subject. Looking at cemeteries and the nuances within could provide us with some very interesting insights about our own mortality. I do like how you philosophize about this subject since many people I talk to can't bear the subject. Smiles!!

You did this well Anne-Lise, the cemetery is such an eerie place, and very much because it does indeed 'capture the essence of mortality'. Very well written.
