Whose to Blame

Rose was a happy six-year-old playing around her kitchen. She then notices her mother secretly put a colourful boiled sweet on top of high cupboard. Whatever came over Rose she plotted to take it and suck on way to school. Her mother moved to the living room and Rose was alone. She climbed the seat and reached up and took it. She put it in her cardigan. Her mother called “time for school”. Roses older sister was waiting by door and Rose ran, the sweet fell out on to the floor in front of her sister and mother. Rose quickly exclaimed “its not mine. Her mother for some reason saw this and instantly started beating the older sister. Rose quietly left for school on her own and didn’t give it another thought. She often wondered why in life her sister used to beat her and pushed her so badly she split her head. And only now understands why her sister took revenge and hated her so much, but to this day can’t understand why her mother beat her sister?
