I felt similar a while back. I swear, "I hate everyone equally" was my catchphrase. Within the years following those thoughts, a lot of people I knew started dying. One person I never thought about dying got shot in a random home invasion, another died of a car accident, and recently a friend to an overdose - any way you get the point. I began to put more value on my own life. I am human. I realized by saying I hated humans, I was really saying I hate myself. Humanity is nothing but your perceptions of how others act and how they work towards you is entirely up to you if it regards you; you set the bar for how people can treat you. It's easy to love dogs and cats because they can't hurt you, and you don't have to create this impossible-to-do with a human set of personal boundaries that a lot of people seem to do well. You are unique, but you're not alone. If you've been hurt by a human in any way, it's easy to say you hate all of them. It's okay to love animals more than most people, but I can't be mad at humans, and neither should you. Everyone wants happiness; no one wants sadness, no matter what it means, it takes them to achieve it. Forgive yourself, and you'll start to forgive humanity too. (these are all really mindful ways of living as well)
