Two Lip Larry

Two Lip Larry was being groomed for the role of fairy.

He required a lot of assistance,

Since the form letter discovered his existence.

Recieved in the mail during a winter of hail.

Two Lip Larry read the instructions that came with the kit.

"Dear Fairy,

We hope you are not very hairy,

Since you have been chosen to play the role of a fairy.

Without further ado,

This is what you must do:

First pluck any extraneous hair until your visage is quite fair!

Next try on the tutu for fit,

Practice bowing at the knee without doing a split!

And last but not least, take the gold wings and attach them firmly to your shoulders.

The play will begin at 10 after 10,

Please do not arrive late!"

Two Lip Larry spent the day turning into the fairy he was instructed to play.

Close to the time he was due to leave,

A knock came at his cabin door.

A small voice cried,"Let me in and give me my kit! Hurry now for I have to split!"

Two Lip Larry didn't know what to do.

He had followed the instructions down to a T,

And could even bow at the knee.

"Why should I let you in? I might be the best fairy to begin!"

"The kit was sent to you by mistake! Now give it up before I am late!"

"I'll make you a deal, I want to know how a fairy would feel.

Let me keep half the kit and we can go as a twin fairy,

To Wit!

She and Two Lip Larry were a hit.

Both kept the outfit looking nice.

Two Lip Larry now had a vice,

To play the fairy at each gig.
