Toughie goes to church
A story of going through a shedding season.
It was 17 may 2024 day two of Carries QFH trip that's short for quick fast and in a hurry!
We were in New Jersy and wanted to visit Beth Israel worship center the church where Johnathan Kahn preaches. But we had Toughie my best friend my dog with us and it was too hot to leave him in the car..... so we asked and they said bring him in! We did and we sat in one of the back rows on the right side. Being that it was may Toughie still had a lot of his winter fur and being that it had been and was hot he was shedding enough to spin a large skeen of yarn. And Carrie the massage therapist worked on Toughie during the service to keep him calm and because she loves him so much. Toughie being the Goodfellow that he is sat there and actually seemed to pay attention watching and being quiet except for his panting. I on the other saw fur everywhere and was red with embarrassment. After the service of course everybody loves Toughie as we left and Carrie was covered in a nice layer of fur along with the chair that Toughie sat in (yes Toughie sat up in a chair like a person). I guess if God can make a donkey talk to a man then He can make a dog sit like one. There is a lesson to learn from Mr. Toughie Goodfellow. It is that church is not for putting on airs. It is for shedding of cares and guilt and sin and shame and all things that keep us from Gods side. To teach us to be faithfull and loyal and loving and patient. There is a lot that Father can teach us through our furry friends if we just pay attention and shed.
