The Tenth Mountain

“I am a winner,” she proudly told herself standing on the balcony, “and I want a tenth mountain to join my other nine.”

Before entering the internal conversation, the royal staff introduced a request standing at the door, “the Texas Air Force would like to talk for a second.”

“About what?” Princess Rooney questioned.

“Your unrealistic expectations in creating a tenth mountain,” the staff replied, referencing information the maiden was claiming.

“They think my great illusion in showing ten mountains on my skyline is,” Princess Rooney paused, “an unrealistic expectation!”

Not saying a word, letting the Princess continue, “it is a decisive weapon that will put everyone out of the money.”

Taking a step back the staff allowed the North American military representative in, “what is she claiming?” Keanu asked.

“Keanu, something about having a tenth mountain as a decisive weapon,” the staff honestly stated.

“I have time, to talk to her,”

“Thank you, Keanu,” they commented appreciatively.

“Princess Rooney,” Keanu announced applying foster grant sunglasses, shielding the brightness, protecting his marketable eyes.

“Mannix,” Princess Rooney greeted.

“No, your royal highness, Mannix was a monk I played on a television show,” Keanu clarified, “I am just acting like a Texas Air Force pilot, today.”

“Well, you look good in uniform too,” Princess Rooney noted, “I am having a gran soiree tonight and you are a winner so here is your invitation.”

Within a minute Keanu thanked her, removing himself from the scene seeing the staff’s concentrated glare.

“Do you remember when Princess Rooney invested in a pluma roja?” One recounted.

“Yeah, that went under real quick and we were all out of the money due to the project pluma roja,”

Later that evening, wearing a red dress with plumb patterns, Princess Rooney presented herself as a maiden with special weight. “You are beautiful,” Keanu mentioned inserting his arm into hers.

“Made a fortune with this pluma roja design,”

“Did you tell anyone?”

“Of course not,” Princess Rooney smirked.

Escorting her man through the party the two came upon a booth selling boiled soup, “may I ask? What do we have here?”

“Your highness, this recipe could bring in enough finances to build your tenth mountain,” the entrepreneur chef pitched.

“What is it called?” Keanu investigated.

Taking a second to think the culinary expert responded, “Breezero, it has no calories”

“No calories,” Princess Rooney seemed impressed taking a sample, “your right, we could get financing for the tenth mountain.”

Suddenly, the curtain raised revealing the evening’s emcee and Princess Rooney notified, “Great Venezuela is going to be honored as a winner.”

“Next on stage during our benefit show, Venezuela.”

Casually walking on stage Venezuela appeared out of the money-making Princess Rooney acknowledge the struggle, “great”.

Then an inspiring light flickered above, and Princess Rooney felt possessed by her message, “yes, while being on the road to stardom, I was out of the money,” Venezuela stated, “that is why I dress like this, but what truly made me a winner was being self-taught.”

Hitting Princess Rooney like a brick, she concluded denying a tenth mountain decisive weapon status, turning around taking a second engaging her staff, “is that a game boy Benny?”

“You know my name?”

“Yes, of course you were the five five six champ show man, and that is why I hired you,”

“I know how to win?”

“No, manipulate little widgets around,” Princess Rooney corrected bringing her team together in a huddle, “we do not need a tenth mountain, what we need is to communicate with each other.”

Relieved the group separated with someone in the gallery exclaiming, “what do you want the businesses to do with the money raised for the tenth mountain?”

“Tell them to keep it and spend it on what they want,” Princess Rooney declared creating a trusting environment inside her kingdom.
