The Spy

The special agent leaned against the wall and held the 45 revolver at his side. He heard movement around the corner from where he was. Javier held his breath as he leaned towards the corner of where the sound was. His eyes grew wider and he closed his eyes for a brief second. He quietly moved forward and turned the bend and pointed his gun with two hands in front of him. He pointed the gun in different directions but there was no one there!

He could have sworn he heard someone. He surreptiously moved forward and beads of sweat hugged his forehead. It was very dark with a faded light off in the distance of the floor he was on. Javier cautiously moved ahead till he reached another corridor. It was narrow but there were beams of light that emanated from the floor. He slowly moved through the corridor and looking backward every so often. The target had eluded him. He was determined to locate the thief.

He reached the end of the corridor and saw a figure ahead of him and believed this was his target and ran towards them.
