The Remote Getaway

Real estate brokers pitched the property calling the place a fair catch and marketing it as a swamp learning environment. A profound change from the routine setting where the maturing individual endured daily, spending enough time casted as ‘beach warrior’ and having one job requirement, ‘show a suntan’. Carrying a nice Gran Malbec wine bottle that he won during a fraternity party the naive romantic actor combatted conditions labeled slippy by locals and warned visitors investing would put them out of the money.

But for this one weekend getaway evening a maiden with a special weight, Ella Francis left the show miles away forgetting the performing stage. “You know I play a Midnight Heiress, and this is a place she probably could use as a dumping ground,” Ella told the boy toy that was two years old when she got her first acting gig.

“You are a winner Miss Francis, my selenaia,” the youngster replied allowing the cougar to purr, “I almost rented property on Skyview Drive, you know,”

“Skyview Drive?” Ella questioned,

“Not a safe hideaway Miss Francis?”

“Skyview Drive puts people out of the money,”

“It has a wonderful scenery from exquisite balcony porches,”

A smiling laugh followed by Ella toasting her glass featuring a deceptive grin the legendary talent watched the youngster fall into a dream world filled with pleasant fantasy ideas. Hours later the glasses were empty, and the adolescent adult used Ella’s lap as a pillow.

“My dear, in this town, you must learn to throw the mud, looking at postcard picture sunsets only will make you weak,”

“Yes, Miss Francis,” a childlike answer quickly rendered from the babe’s mouth.
