The Old Man and His Dog

The Old man and his dog Cmon Sparky!", the old man said as he pulled the leash. The man hunched a bit and looked down at the ground as he walked. The dog sniffed the ground in a hurried frenzy. The man passed a neighbor and tipped his hat. He said a quiet hello and the woman nodded in exchange. He frowned and hurried along to a grassy area and threw a ball. His dog chased the ball quickly. "What a nice day it turned out to be he thought. The blue sky and white puffy clouds commanded his gaze. As he watched the vast sky, He dropped the leash and Sparky ran off to chase a squirrel! "Sparky" the old man yelled. The squirrel ran as fast as he could and dropped the chestnut. The man caught up with his dog and another younger man in his twenties was being pulled by his Labrador and the two dogs bumped noses as they sniffed each other. The young man tipped his hat, and said "good day to you". "Thanks, you too", the old man replied, and went on his way. Sparky saw a seagull and decided to chase that too. The leash was yanked out of the old man's hand and he gasped as the leash scratched his hand. "Sparky"!, the old man yelled. He ran as fast as he could to catch up with his dog and found himself gasping for breath. "Well, another interesting day with Sparky", he laughed and shrugged it off. "I cant keep up with him", he muttered. He finally caught up with him and they started for home.
