The Mysterious Island

As their ship pulled up beside the island they could see that it was inhabited. But what was it inhabited with? People? Mammals? Aliens? No one knew. None of the men wanted to get off the ship and explore the island but deep down they knew someone had to. But who was it going to be? Finally Jack spoke up. "I will go and explore the island". So Jack got off the ship and stepped foot on the island. He was nervous but he knew he couldn't show his fears. He had a walkie talkie in his pocket incase he had to contact the other men on the ship. His feet now stood on a sandy beach. he looked all around him but could see no soul in sight and heard only the sound of silence and his own breathing. He was breathing very rapidly for he was nervous although he tried not to show his nerves. He wondered what direction he should head in. East, West, South or North. He was religious so Jack decided to pray about the direction he should take. He fell to his knees and knelt on the sandy beach feeling the burning hot sun on his skin. Then he began to speak to his heavenly father. “Dear Heavenly Father I am asking you which direction I should go on this island. East, West, South or North. Please give me an answer. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen”. After Jack had said his prayer to heavenly father he knelt in silence for about ten minutes and then the thought came to him to head West on the island. So he listened to the thought and West is the direction he headed in. He soon left the beach and headed on a dirt trail through the forest. There were lots of pinecones on the ground and they would crunch underneath his feet. As he walked along the trail he was always glancing all around him wondering who or what he might encounter. Suddenly he heard a noise. There was nothing around him on the ground. So he looked up above and saw a man flying to the ground. As soon as the man landed on the ground he said welcome to Whale Island my name is Oliver Owl. As you can see I have wings and I can fly. I am half Owl and half human. I can see that said Jack. Jack now felt a bit nervous. So why are you here asked Oliver? Well said Jack my shipmates and I came across the island and one of us had to explore the island so my mates sent me to check out your island. I see said Oliver. Well Jack I have some good news and bad news. What is the good news asked Jack? Your mates are leaving the island without you right now. A strong gust of wind has sent the ship you were on back to the middle of the ocean. They will never find the island again and won’t remember you. And the bad news asked Jack? You are the only other inhabitant on the island for now other then me and eventually as time passes you will turn into a half bird and as well said Oliver. Jack felt heartbroken but knew deep down that he should have never tried to explore the mysterious island. At least he had Oliver to take him under his ropes and show him the ways to get by on Whale Island.

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:" arial"="" ink="">So the lesson here is never explore a mysterious island on your own. If you want to go exploring always take a friend with you.
