Prologue:
Love is a language of five dialects with several sub-dialects. In simpler terms, the language is complex and different in other languages and cultural customs. Speaking about love is difficult when we see the person we're all in love with go through multiple tragedies. In your heart, they will live; however, the heart is a vessel that pumps blood. It is not capable of any true thought. Furthermore, it should be thought of as having thought. The complex nature of the thought process is meant for the brain, and you are your heart. Thinking with your heart may be a tragedy since your thought process will fall into the thought process of your genitals. Sometimes loving a person can be wrenching to your mind. It will make you question the conception of any deity that you were accustomed to believing; however, it will lead you to think about truth. It is better to be a person who thinks than a person who speaks. Would you rather be a pauper amongst the people pretending to be a prince? Would you rather be a court jester, never able to laugh? Speak your thoughts in a manner that will make everyone laugh at themselves for their foolish beliefs.
Beauty is a conception in the eye of the beholder when they see a physical sight that appeals to their mind and to their experience. What if beauty is hidden in all corners of the realm? Angels are amongst the living in different assignments. Often, these angels are unaware that they have been chosen by a deity. A deity in the realm of all poly deities. Sometimes the dark holds a brighter light than the light of the common wicker candles of society. The same wicker candles that criticize the populace for sin. At least this is the sin they speak of; however, the sin they speak of is pure fiction and pseudo-fiction. Being among the dreads of society has taught the dragon to see beauty and love in the souls of the condemned. A paw print upon my heart is the cause for me to be the speaker for the damned. Love is earned through honor, respect, and understanding.
Walking through a circle of hell and finding an angel that is suffering is a concept that many cannot say they have experienced. To several people, the life of those in this circle of hell is eternal and meant for them to suffer. Shocking that these people condemn the fallen and still go out to do the activities of the fallen. Hypocrites to the system that have the folly of being worse than the person in this metaphorical hell. The warrior in the light sees the suffering.
The meaning behind a smile
A person's smile can reveal many secrets.
Sometimes the smile can be full of fear, sorrow, or happiness.
In the following story, the smile was of happiness in front of sorrow.
Smiling eyes that would make Polyphemus cry
If only we had met before you turned bad.
I would have made you a queen.
However, you are a pauper struggling for the title of a princess.
Tears in front of the lake.
The paw print of courtly love
Eyes of brown
Lips of pink coral
A smile inside your cute frown
Humble breasts of hidden moral
Hair that sparkles like the brown of leaves
My heart skips a beat
Beauty is outside of you when you have long sleeves
My body wants a piece of your meat
Thy lips of the downtrodden need a kiss
These eyes see through your soul
May you gain a joyful bliss
May my quench of love be the forgotten null
The paw print on your chest
I have your spiritual handprint on my chest
Before reading the story, please note that the characters' names have been changed. Moreover, some physical traits were also changed. All the characters are based on true events. I have chosen the name Victoria for the client since it is one of my favorite names for a woman. In life, we go through many changes and events. From the moment we are born, we are told about right and wrong. Later, we are told about gender roles. It is in our teen years that we discover our biological functions. If we were fortunate, we learned about drugs being bad and that keeping our hands to ourselves was the smart thing to do. What we do not learn at a lateral level is everything that I mentioned above. Some people learn that survival is the right way to live; however, the survival they learn is based upon violence and control. The thin light of right and wrong is subjective to the person in life. There is an actual yellow zone that the members of the green zone are responsible for when it comes to helping the members of the red zone transition back into the green zone. The blue line marks the start and the end of the yellow zone. Do not focus on the line you stand behind, for it will always lead you into a great fall. This great fall will cause you to be in the red zone. The story in this document concerns a different kind of right and wrong. Some people learn the concept of right and wrong in a way that sets them up for life in decision-making. Still, there is a possibility that one of the choices they make may lead them to make other choices based on fear and oppression. Not everyone is born into the same environment of privilege, and not everyone is born into an environment of disparity. Keep in mind that an angel can fall out of the sky and become fallen when the decisions made were of poor taste and foolishness. Still keep in mind that a demon may turn upon their overlord and decide that they want to be reformed. The die is not meant to be cast in hard determinism. The circles that mention pre-destiny are full of bullshit. I have never seen anything in the wild nature feel that they would loathe in self-pity. Pity is a concept of human ignorance and stupidity. A false policy guided by a procedure of injustice that mocks the essence of change. If the cat takes the mouse to its death, is that a crime? What if a cat takes on the cat?
The Master Chief John would constantly speak of self-pity and how lovely it was to dwell in pure nonsense. Self-pity in its purest form is an excuse not to transform into the best version of oneself. It is the pinnacle of ignorance and false tolerance. The first one to give up is the person who sets the lowest bar of self-pity. Are you willing to make that sacrifice for the team? Or are you willing to stand strong with the team and not be the burden for their progress? Videos about self-pity would remind the person to stand up and accept the past as the past. If only it were that simple for some to see how they should move forward. Often in life, we hear about the trials of a man and the folly of a woman. Do we ever hear about women going through the same ordeals? We tend to turn a blind eye to women who do wrong and assume that they are victims of society. In the past, it was viewed that women could not be capable of committing crimes since they were regarded as being passive. Newer research has indicated that females who become terrorists are: (1) single, young, (2) at least educated at a secondary level, (3) natively employed, and (4) have higher education than their male counterparts. If you want a good example of this belief, let us look at the murder victim of Delilah in the Bible. I have known several women who would scoff at the idea that all women are innocent. I was around over one hundred convicted females who would state they were in there for crimes that they had committed fully. Of these women, one would catch my eye as someone who needed to be understood. It was, in fact, her daughter who led me to see her internal strife. A modern-day beauty that would meet the beast behind the keyboard and glass office. Understanding her life would be a documentary of momentous results. This unconventional story comprises poems, statements, and dialogues. The endnotes are placed in the document to clarify the story.
Beauty in wild Nature
The beauty in life has a different view from the one seen by people and nature
Society judges beauty by the face of sexual attraction and not by the quality of life
For the author of many reports and interactions, the beauty described is one of the mature natures
It is not meant for the social upheaval and internal strife of the soul’s constant strife
What is beauty but a physical lie portrayed by St. Valentine’s Day
Of course, the young woman has physical beauty; however, there is a strong level of internal beauty
Just like the person walking by the piers of the bay
The beauty they feel is that of the nature of the maternal or paternal
The love of beauty was captured by Adonis and mirrored in Aphrodite
Still, the beauty was never felt and only looked upon
One man and one woman are only looking inside the mirror of life! Adonis and Aphrodite
What can be stated, except that the heart and mind are the true architects upon whom beauty sits!
Oh, how the name and experience of beauty (internal and external) can be a call to Gloria
The feminine name of glory is Gloria; however, it is earned through the victorious name of Victoria!
END POEM
A poem in the form of a Shakespearean Sonnet (ABAB/CDCD/EFEF/GG) is a form of literary masterpiece. It captures the essence of what the speaker wants. If it were plausible during this time, I would draft a book of poetry about a beautiful young woman whom I met. Of course, the book would be too long to read.
In the meantime, I will tell you a story about a young woman who faced civil strife and met it with great courage. Parts of this story are fiction, and other parts are based on the truth of the young woman. I will call her a young woman, for I have profound respect and admiration for how she deals with her Kompf in life. I first met the young woman during the third chapter of the story. Having been around her for over a year, I developed a strong respect for her and would worry about her when she made mistakes. Other clients made mistakes; however, when she did find herself in trouble, I did let her know of my concern. From her files, I came to know her as a person under stress and constant anxiety. Later, through her social posts, I would see a person going through hell outside the “no bars” location. The only support she had was from her mother, her daughter, and two guards who saw her as a human. The day we left, we could see that she was going to go through a time of stress and up a creek of shit. After I left, I contacted her on social media and would sometimes encourage her to succeed. Other people and former clients did the same. They are still doing the encouragement as of today. Currently, she is searching for someone to give her heart to love. In a way, her story is touching, since she would be a powerful addition to any man willing to see her as a partner rather than an object of physical exercise. Of course, the men she had been with would always treat her as shit. Today marks three weeks since her transition from one program to another. She spent a stressful amount of time within the “no bars” period of her life. May Allah help her find the man who deserves to have her.
Chapter 1: The Awakening
Scene 1: Somewhere near a friend’s house
What is going on? Why does my head feel so bad? I feel like fainting. I need to get out of the car. The young woman stated all of this when she awoke in her car. In the backseat of the car, she could barely see the young person crying as she believed her mommy was not going to wake up. Immediately, the young woman sat up and came to, kicking open her car door.
(In a stern and loud voice) Halt! " Put your hands up and exit the car slowly," stated an officer in blue. You are under arrest! To herself, she stated, “What is going on?” She saw the woman in the car put her hands up. Now exit the car slowly, no sudden moves. Officer Terrance placed handcuffs on the young woman and read her the Miranda Warning. Ma’am, do you understand these rights? The young woman nodded.
After the young woman left the car and complied with the officer, another officer opened the back door to retrieve the little girl. “Hey sweetie, do not be afraid; everything is going to be ok,” stated the female officer. “Are you going to hurt my mommy.” – The little girl stated. “No, we are just going to take her with us to help her get better, honey.” The officer stated.
Surprisingly, the little girl did not see the officers hurting her mommy, as her mommy stated, “Go with the nice lady, she will take care of you. I am going to be fine (tears streaming down her face). With her last breath, she fainted, and the officer had to carry her to the car. It had been a long chase, and the charges were going to be steep for the young woman. It was not going to be a goody for her when she went to court. Vehicular eluding, possession of meth, child endangerment, being under the influence of alcohol, and destruction of property (crashing into a fence). The sad part about this part of the story is that the young woman had been facing problems with her boyfriend (the sperm donor), and no one had come to help her during her time of need on several occasions. The boyfriend had been the one to introduce drugs into her life. Later, the young woman would be recognized for her part in her crimes. Here is a small reenactment of what happened earlier that day.
Scene 2: In an apartment complex
The time was around 0800hrs, and the young woman had received a text message from her friend stating that her boyfriend (the sperm donor) had messaged her last night wanting to come over and have sex. Immediately, the young woman bolted up in bed with anger flashing in her coffee-colored eyes, “What the fuck,’ is all she could say. The friend stated that she told (the sperm donor) no, since she would not betray her friend, and that she did not appreciate him cheating on her. In a reply text, the young woman stated, “You are a good friend! It makes me angry that he would do this with you.” Her friend texted back, “He did find a girl to fuck last night, as he sent pictures to me, he must have thought it was his homeboy. I’ll send them to you. I am so sorry, baby. Please come by and see me.”
After the friend sent the pictures, the young woman flew into a rage and decided to pack her things and leave the guy who had given her trouble. It had been an ongoing problem with the guy since he would make advances on women when she was not around. There were times when he would make comments about other women, laced with hints of wanting to betray them. At times, he made these gestures obvious in public. Even her mom would ask her if anything was wrong with their relationship. These comments continued well into the time of giving birth to her daughter (their daughter). He always wanted a son and viewed the girl as a bargaining chip, and would use her to have a young woman later in life.
Charity decided to drive the car after she had had enough liquor to qualify for a DUI. Before she left the house, she decided to take the meth from her (sperm donor) and throw it into the Bessemer Ditch. Well, this would prove to be stupid for her later, as law enforcement would use it to get Social Services involved in her daughter's welfare. For the record, her mother would take care of the daughter with joint custody with the sperm donor)
Scene 3: Courthouse
Bailiff:
All rise, the honorable Judge Carter Colvin III is now presiding!
Judge:
You may be seated; counselors present your opening argument.
Prosecutor Kehoe:
The jury found that Charity Castille was under the influence of alcohol while speeding down Highway 50 with a child in the car. In addition, the officers found five hundred grams of meth in her possession. This evidence clearly presents that Ms. Castille did not think about her life and the life of the child in the car. Placing a child in a dangerous environment is a cause for concern for the community. It is your job to determine whether she is guilty or not guilty; the evidence clearly shows she is guilty of these charges.
Defense Attorney Muldoon:
Members of the jury, my client is the victim in this case, as the officers at the scene did not have probable cause to stop her when they first contacted her. They saw Ms. Castille driving in a manner that was abnormal to them when they witnessed her driving ten miles under the speed limit.
According to the report, my client ended up speeding after law enforcement attempted a routine traffic stop. What the report does not mention is why this even took place.
The officer claims that when he stopped Ms. Castille, he saw her with a child in the car, and she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. He claims that he smelled alcohol on the breath of the client. My client does admit that she was in possession of meth and was planning to toss it into the Bessemer Ditch. She admits that Officer Pierce made an advance towards her, which is why she started her car and sped off.
My client is willing to plead to lower charges if the prosecution agrees. We ask that the jury not render a guilty verdict based on the prosecution's stacked charges and the witnesses' statements.
Judge:
Prosecutor, your witness.
Kehoe:
The prosecution would like to call Officer Mendoza.
Bailiff:
Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
Mendoza:
I do.
Kehoe:
Officer Mendoza, when you arrived at the scene, what was Charity's condition?
Mendoza:
The state Ms. Castille was in seemed to be a state of confusion and showed signs of trauma from a head injury, as she had blood coming from her head.
Kehoe:
In a report from one of your fellow officers, it states, “Ms. Castille failed to comply with the police in putting her hands up,” Is this true?
Mendoza:
No, she placed her hands in the air and was taken into custody, where she fainted and had to be carried to the squad car.
Kehoe:
So, this report was written with inaccurate information. Why did the officer write down this description, and why did other officers have similar stories to yours?
Mendoza:
When I arrived on the scene, I saw the officers as described in the initial report; however, after the events took place, the officers spoke to one another and stated that the report must be written as if only one officer was at the scene. There has been a lot of corruption among these officers in the department, and their reports should not be taken as factual.
Kehoe:
Are you stating that all the officers at the scene were doctoring a case of lies for their own benefit?
Mendoza:
Yes!
Kehoe:
Why would they do that? How come you are not doing it? Are you trying to get them in trouble?
Muldoon:
Objection! The counselor is trying to discredit the witness and create confusion among the jury.
Judge:
Sustained! Counselor, you will refrain from badgering the witness!
Kehoe:
I apologize, Your Honor. Officer Mendoza let me ask the question in better words. Why would the officers try to collaborate on a story when the reports are supposed to be based on their experience of the event?
Mendoza:
These officers have been noted in different cases for tailoring their stories in hopes of avoiding additional questions from the leads and supervisors. The officers have been cited for inaccurate report writing and have received sanctions on them in the past. They just do not want to do their job correctly.
Kehoe:
I see your point. Do you believe that the report filed by your fellow officers was falsified?
Mendoza:
I do, and I have filed an investigation with the chief.
Kehoe:
Counsel your witness.
Muldoon:
Officer Mendoza, you stated in your report that the officers on the scene were surrounding Ms. Castille?
Mendoza:
Yes!
Muldoon:
In addition, you noticed that no one had made a motion to retrieve the child in the car when they had ample time to do so?
Mendoza:
Yes!
Muldoon:
What is the policy when events like this occur, and a child is involved?
Mendoza:
After a suspect has been detained, an officer must retrieve the child. This is done as a measure to protect the child from being a casualty.
Muldoon:
If the officers had been in possession of detaining Ms. Castille, and it had been several minutes, as you described, during which Ms. Castille did not struggle, then why did no one make the motion to retrieve the child until you arrived?
Mendoza:
These officers were focused on Ms. Castille, did not see the child as a threat, and told me that a woman should be the one to talk to her.
Muldoon:
That sounds quite sexist when they refer to your gender before your occupation.
Mendoza:
This attitude is being addressed by the chief.
Muldoon:
After you retrieved the child, you stated in your report, “Officer Ramos told the other officers that the bitch should be in prison for being a nuisance to society. This statement was made while Ms. Castille was still conscious, after he had fainted. Officer Pierce touched Ms. Castille on the buttocks and breasts when she was unconscious.” These statements are strong against these officers, Officer Mendoza.
Mendoza:
The statements are the truth. If only body cameras were worn, the truth would weaken the prosecution's argument.
Muldoon:
You may step down……
Narrator:
After several officers in the department had been called to the witness stand, it was found that several had drafted their reports based on another officer's report. Four of these five reports were dismissed from the case as factual evidence against Ms. Castille. The original report was found to have sufficient credibility to serve as the main report in the case. In the end, the prosecution failed to deliver a compelling case for the child to be removed from Ms. Castille’s life permanently. She was charged with vehicular eluding, child endangerment, and being in possession of meth. Under a plea bargain, she would be given five years in prison if she agreed to be placed in a community corrections setting, with a two-year parole. All of this had been told to me by the client's roommate before I ever had a chance to read her file. Still, the story of how she became a community corrections inmate was unclear to a resolute scholar and philanthropist. In the coming months, I would come to know her as someone who made bad decisions that led her to the gates of purgatory.
Chapter 2: The Cellblock
Scene 4: Victoria’s first hangout
Requiem for the Warrior
There comes a time when the heart must speak to the mind. When this occurs, those around the person may see them as queer. It is all right for the fools to see this. Do not allow them to change the person inside of you. Sometimes the Chief of all the skies will open your eyes with thought. If everyone were on one side and pushed the others into their own side, and left them down. Regardless of the people wanting to escape, it would be simple. Still, what glory can be achieved if everyone were given this deterministic script? Sometimes the Chief of all the skies will intervene, even if the person that is given the gift is not of their cloth. Why is this? It is quite simple. The Chief of all the Skies protects all the people. Plus, all the other Chiefs of different faiths pay homage to the Chief of the Skies (Realms)
Narrator:
I never asked Vicky about her time in the joint, as I did not care about her past. My goal was to help her get through the program and become mentally strong for herself. She had a small number of mental problems that were being taken from her. Much in the same manner as taking the piss out of someone. I could only imagine her first day in the joint going like this, a short scenario.
When the van dropped her off at the gate, she was guided in by two officers. The fear she had inside of her was only marked by a solemn face of not wanting to go to the joint. She would rather be at home with her daughter. I could imagine standing over a stove and making cookies for her daughter. She just looks like the person who would smile at her beautiful child.
Instead, she was in handcuffs and would be going through the intake procedures. In front of a guard, she was asked about her personal life and all the information required for data purposes. A property search, a breathalyzer test, and a urinalysis test were conducted and entered into the system. The documents were later scanned in by the intake done by her assigned case manager.
Once she was assigned a cell, her cellmates introduced her to the cell block's rules. It is quite different from the rules that the prison had for all its clients. Once you are in the joint, the code is very different from what is presented in documentaries. The documents I later uncovered in her profile stated that she had been processed and charged with some serious crimes. As someone who has studied people and criminal profiles, I can say that she does not look like someone who would cause much havoc. If a person were to read the client's actual file, not the one recreated for the book, you would be shocked to learn that this person committed her crimes. Several people would judge her by the paper they see about her. Well, as someone who interacts with clients daily, I can say her story was powerful and that she has faced many negative devil shards in life. The main shard is with the sperm donor of her daughter. Later, she would reveal what the sperm donor had done to her. She had to go to the hospital to have her face checked out. What is shocking is that her daughter witnessed all this chaos. Now the story of her time in the pen is short, as most of her sentence was spent in the halfway house and later on parole.
Her ‘cellies’ decided to guide her through the process. This is where the brief interaction I had with her left off when I asked about her experience in the prison system, so I will jump right into the time when I first met her.
Chapter 3: No bars hangout
Scene 5: At the halfway house
Working in a field where the client is in front of you can be both dangerous and a high ego trip. This facility would merit the same. The clients were not the problem; the staff was. It came to a point that the female clients would counsel one another better than the case managers and the idiots behind the false badge. This facility, in the mind of the ignorant, was a safe place to work. Well, in prison and jail, there are bars. In a community correction setting, there are no bars. Some people would ask how the guards could work around those people. I was one of the few (if not the only one) who would say, “If they are crazy, then what am I; I am the one watching over them.”
Saturday
The day she came to the facility was on my off day. I do not recall if it was a Thursday or a Friday. When I went in on Saturday and started my normal hours, I was sent to work in the male barracks. Some of the clients there would inform me about a person who had entered the female unit. The guys in here would always give me information when I walked through the door, and even when I left to go home. Today, the guys were talking about a female client who seemed not to belong in the facility. In their eyes, she was a person of calm beauty, with the presence of a soft heart. Of course, I understood that these guys in this unit would view all the female clients the same way (as potential baby mommas). It is sad that this thought pattern was with the newer members of the tutor (drug paraphernalia) crew. A few of the older guys would steer these youths away from getting into trouble. The Pacino Brothers of Jersey and Miami were the ones who would counsel these youths and non-youthful crew. About a year after I left the grounds, one of the brothers said several clients had said Vicks was good-looking. He stated that if they thought she was good-looking now, then they should have seen her before. I recall the first time I saw her. She was much better-looking than the woman who played George Lopez's wife on the George Lopez show. So, the first Saturday, I did not see as I did not have to go into the female unit for anything (job-related).
Sunday
I walked into the facility and discovered that I had to conduct a morning headcount at 0800hrs, starting in the male unit. Later, I found out that Changa would be working in the male unit with me; so, as usual, I would be alone until she decided to get down there after 1000 hours. Changa believed that her post was not as important as her social life with her co-workers. She would often make an excuse for not working in the male unit. After being around her for three years, the only legitimate excuse was that the heat was a problem within the male unit. So, when I was in the Red Zone, I met Ms. Vicky. She was wearing her sweats from the night before. They were big for her, as around the waist and hips, it looked like she was walking with bags. The first time I would get to speak with her would be a week later during a scheduled interaction. Now, I do not recall the first interaction; however, I do recall general conversations I had with her throughout her stay at the “No bars hangout.”
No specific days
From the first time I met her, I knew that she had a story that would be hard to believe when she told it. I would learn about her physical attributes that would help me understand her better. She had a paw print on the upper left side of her chest near the collarbone. Her skin was of dark caramel when it was placed upon an apple. Her hair was dark and at the nape of her neck. Her fingernails never had any dirt under them, and they were often well cared for. When she wore a dress, she was one of the few who could pass for a Hispanic version of Cerentola (Cinderella). When she would leave the facility for classes, church, etc., I did not have to worry about her. Now, there were times when I was concerned about her safety when she would forget to call to let us know her location. From what I remember, she was rarely in trouble and would bounce back with success.
Conversation
The following conversation example is based on several conversations I had with Victoria during the time I worked around her. Some of these conversations were documented interactions, while others were just casual conversations between two people. The focal point of my conversations with clients was to help them realize that I saw them as human above all else. The level of the conversation may have been shocking to staff members since they were the type that would view the clients through a thin blue line analysis of bigotry. I viewed the clients as humans capable of change. I made it clear to all the clients that I was there to help them become better citizens of society, their families, and for their own sake. Victoria was one of the few people to whom I could speak freely, since she reminded me of my friend, to whom I could speak for hours. To me, there was not one blue line. There were two blue lines with a yellow zone in between them. The red side before the first line was the trouble zone; the green side was the non-criminal side. I viewed my job as pulling them into the yellow zone and having them decide to move into the green side. Victoria was one of the clients who would listen and would barely complain. Even when she was mad, she would not yell (at me); she would merely tell me her concerns. Even to this day, she speaks to me and thanks me.
Around 1100hrs in the Red Zone
Narrator:
Interactions were an assigned task for each worker; however, there were times when an interaction would occur out of nowhere and had to be documented. At times, I would conduct three interactions a day. Especially when the other staff members were on their phones and twirling in the chairs.
Sam:
Victoria, how are you doing today?
Victoria:
(Arrogant tone with a smile) I am doing fine. How are you?
Sam:
Not so bad, I am just biding my time before vacation.
Victoria:
The other girls know that you enjoy traveling, so where are you going?
Sam:
This year I am going to the UK and other countries. Most of the time, I will be in France and Italy.
Victoria:
After I complete the program and other commitments, I would like to go on a trip abroad.
Sam:
I can see you traveling with your family.
Victoria:
I can see it too.
Sam:
How are your classes going at State of Grace?
Victoria:
They are going well.
Sam:
That is great to hear. Has there been a course that you felt was not beneficial to your success in the program?
Victoria:
Honestly, all the classes have helped me start getting my life back together, so I do not have any that were not beneficial.
Sam:
You are going to do well. Especially when you complete this program and the other things. You may see my words only as those of a guard; however, they are the words of someone who doesn't give a shit about your success. When I leave to go home, my thoughts of your well-being are still with me.
Victoria:
Thankyou! I can tell that you have conversations with the other girls and only focus on our needs. Why do you not act like the other guards?
Sam:
The other guards have already cast their die, seeing everyone here as an offender for life. They do not see all of you as being human before anything else. Not to mention that none of them has a true background in criminology. I never cast a die before I see the playing board. We live in a Skinner Box, well, their box is always one-sided.
Victoria:
If only they would treat us as if we were fucking human, then we may get along better.
Sam:
From what I studied and from what I am experiencing, all of you are the true architects of your future, and the guards are only here to collect a paycheck. They are the main folly of the ‘revolving door.’
Victoria:
There is only one other person who treats us like humans, and you know them well. Why can’t the other staff members treat us with respect if they want respect back?
Sam:
Indeed, I do know them well. What I see is that your daughter is a pillar of your success. Each time she is here, I see her smile. I hope to have a daughter like her someday.
Victoria:
She is the reason I am completing this program. I want to be home with her and not have her worry about mommy. I believe you will have a daughter like her. The amount of kindness you show will be upon you ten-fold.
Sam:
So far, I have noticed that you are doing well. The only time you messed up was a relapse, and you have taken that relapse as a lesson of what not to do.
Victoria:
I did learn my lesson.
Sam:
In full honesty, I have never had to worry about you. Somewhere inside of my heart, I know that you are going to succeed. Even your peers look up to you. No matter what happens, I want you to know that if you need anyone to talk to, you can always speak to me.
Victoria:
What happens if you are not on duty?
Sam:
Then tell one of the other guards to contact me. Even if it is my day off, I will still speak to you. I do not view my job as a paycheck; I view it as an extension of my beliefs.
Victoria:
What happens if you are gone from this place?
Sam:
Faith will bring us together, and you can always call out to me. You may even be surprised to learn that I will be in the light while you are in the dark.
Chapter 4: Shit on a Shingle
Brown Dove intro
Blues of the world
Kiss my blue lips and eyes
My little brown dove
Once I left the facility to take a new job at another company, I was worried about Victoria. Of the many people I had come across, I could see her progress more clearly than any of my former co-workers. I worried that those co-workers would treat her disrespectfully, as they were the type of people who saw clients as worthless. Months later, she would show up in my social media feed. I sent her a request since I no longer worked in that hellhole. She was happy that she would be leaving soon. She was finally smiling without force. All the classes she was required to take dealing with substance abuse were completed. Her smile was still a warm kiss to the heart of men who would not know her past. A warm kiss to the soul that would be extinguished if she fucked up again.
Two months after I left, I met the Pacino Brothers at a restaurant they ran. We spoke about the times at the facility. One of the topics was about Victoria. They stated that she had gained some weight and still was ok. Several of the male clients had told them how good she looked. Jersey stated that he told the men, “You should have seen her when she first came in.” Indeed, when she first came to the facility, she was thin and one of the best-kept physically of the females the facility had ever seen. Some of the clients claimed that she looked good. This statement made me realize that these clients in the facility focused only on the women's physical attributes. Well, there comes a time when little boys have to grow up and realize that women are to be seen from the inside, not the outside. If only the Pacino Brothers could write a book on how to get through the system and not go back to the brickyard's past.
Brown Dove
My little dove of honey skin is cute with her skin of brown
A kiss to my soul comes from the smile upon thy lips
Even the wittiest payaso (clown) would have tears as they fell
I must look at the ground while I walk before my legs do the flips
Angels come from the sky and the ground.
Demons come from the ground and the sky
This angel came in chains when I turned around
This demon was an actual angel fallen from the sky
Not all angels come in a packaged box of beauty and a smile
Not all demons come in a package of sinister eyes and teeth
Many of them come from a vile pile
Some of the demons come with closed lips concealing sharp teeth
My brown dove, you have been through a state of a fallen angel
My dove, you are the old lady who deceived the Beast when she became an angel
Brown Dove Requiem
Society has given you a gift of physical beauty.
I have seen the beauty of your heart
When you were in chains and broadcast as a demon, I saw through the veil
I saw a brown dove with the honey of her spirit.
I saw a heart in pain
I saw a woman needing of a friend
My brown dove, this humble watcher of the birds, will always be here
It has been four months since Victoria was released on parole. She has reunited with her mother and daughter. Currently, she has become quite plump with a cuteness for someone with a little plump. After eating and living in a shithouse, she has come to realize that crime does not pay. What can be stated about this chick is that she does not plan to go back. From her posts, she has become mentally independent. She no longer cares for the sperm donor of her daughter. Her only goal is to move on with her life and not let anyone tell her how to live. She views the sperm donor as a worthless piece of shit that should have never been born. Most of her middle finger posts are geared towards him and his family. Thus ends the short story on the Girl with a Paw Print on her Chest.
