The Cosmic Merry Go Round

What could be clearer? What could be more simple for us in this life than to comprehend the knowledge that God made us in His own image; to know Him, to love Him, to serve Him and to be with Him in everlasting happiness forever in the after life? Is that so complicated and hard to understand, that in order to save our selves and our immortal souls from eternal damnation, all we have to do is follow that simple plan?

Here we are today, traveling with the sun as it falls through space, covering over one million miles every day as it falls into the center of the Milky Way. (There happens to be a black hole at the center of the Milky Way.)
While the Earth orbits around the Sun at a relative 66,700 miles per hour, the Sun is not a stationary object. It is generally accepted that the Earth, Sun, Milky Way and the Local Cluster all move through the Universe at 373 miles/second (600Km/s.)
A widen perspective could include several other facts as well. The earth's rotational speed, depending on how close to the poles varies from 0 to 1040 miles/hour, which at the high end is about .288 miles/sec.
This combined with the 66,700 mile/hour mentioned above, is about 18.5 miles/second.

Just looking at the Earth alone in its journey: The Earth's spin is constant, but the speed depends on what latitude you are located at. Here's an example. The circumference (distance around the largest part of the Earth) is roughly 24,898 miles (40,070 kilometers), You estimate that a day is 24 hours long, you divide the circumference by the length of the day. This produces a speed at the equator of about 1,037 mph (1,670 km/h).

This is where religion and science collide. There seems to be a basic paradox in our ability to find a finale destination worth explaining. For starters, we are not and do not have the power to stop or alter our path through space. We are part of the vast cosmic condition of simply being. There is a black hole at the end of the road in the center of the universe. The truth is; if the math is correct, we will never get there. The curvature of our motion through space on our tiny planet is relative to the motion of the galactic motion of our local galaxy. Also: we are moving towards the Andromeda Galaxy right now at great speeds. Even when we finally “collide” with that galaxy, there is so much distance between each star and planet, there will never be a real “collision” only a coalescing of giant heavenly objects spinning on forever until they fall apart like all good universes do.

What could be clearer? What could be more simple for us in this life than to comprehend the master plan of the Master of the universe?

The knowledge that God made us in His own image; to know Him, to love Him, to serve Him and to be with Him in ever lasting happiness in the firmament, forever in the after life is knowledge enough.

Is that so complicated and hard to understand; that in order to save ourselves and our immortal souls from eternal damnation, all we have to do is follow that simple plan, to follow the sun and all the planets wherever they may go in the cosmic show, the cosmic dance, the cosmic merry go round out there adrift in the vastness and curvatures, there beyond mankind's comprehension to that end.
