The Cat That Never Dies
Cat was deemed to be a mythical and sacred creature of the past. Many generations perceived it as magical too.
The story that unfolds on this page is not about a cat from Egypt of the ancient times, but of the modern time. It's a sneezy cat by the name of "Cat-shoo."
One night after Thanksgiving... a rich old man bewailed the loss of a long kept-treasure chest that was stolen from him by masked thieves. These culprits also murdered all his servants inside his mansion.
While attending to his injured wife inside a hospital suite, he thought of ascribing the recent hideous event to their house cat so he left his wife for about three hours and went home. He grabbed the cat and ordered his trusted pilot to fly his private plane to a nearby island where he can drop the cat. He did and got rid of the cat.
When he returned to his sleeping wife in the hospital, the wife was awakened after hearing the husband's loud singing.
The wife asked, "Where have you been?"
The husband replied, "I rode on a plane with your favorite cat."
"Why?" the wife questioned.
"It's the bad luck in our mansion. I don't want to see it ever again!"
The wife explained, "Yesterday while I was watering the flower pots in the terrace closed to the mezzanine the cat rushed to me and looked at me with rage. It's the first time I saw it behaved like that. The cat was annoyed by the commotion downstairs and under the second floor of the house and me not knowing that the mansion was being ransacked. The cat scared me when it suddenly pushed my legs as I was standing on a wooden chair while peeking on the grassy ground outside, calling for some servants to help me water the pots. Until I dropped in the bushes, fell on the ground and lost my consciousness..."
The husband was surprised after hearing everything and felt remorseful.
The wife added, "The cat wanted to drop me in the shrubs and bushes and hide myself from the thieves. I was bruised, but I'm still alive today!... Where's Cat-shoo?"
... ... ...
(Don't worry about the cat! The cat is still alive because it landed on the soft leaves of a coconut tree when it was dropped.)
