The Bat That Couldn't Fly

Once upon a time their lived a bat named Henry. Henry lived with his family in the family cave when he decided to fly out into the night to have some alone time which was a habit he had gotten into doing every night.

He flew around in the sky feeling the wind against his wings. He swooped around in circles flying low and then high until he made the decision to land on top of a house.

He flew through the chimney and landed in a house in the fireplace. In the morning when the owners found him they beat him with a broomstick and then tossed him outside.

Henry tried to fly off into the sky as soon as he was outside but realized he could not fly anymore. Luckily some bats found him and brought him back to his cave.

Since Henry could no longer fly he was stuck living his life inside the cave. From the experiences he went through Henry told his story to other bats so that they would not be as foolish as he had been.
