Suggested Readings
For those of you stuck inside these days I suggest these two books.
Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe
And
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
When the Great Plague broke out in 1665 Defoe was just a child. He wrote a book called “A Journal of the Plague Years.” (without any press coverage because people could not read back in those days.) The bubonic plague wiped out most of England and Europe. I do not suggest reading the journal because it is too depressing. It is however, a perfect correlation to the Covid 19 experience of today.
I do suggest reading Robinson Crusoe. It is an adventure survival story on how to survive the forces of nature and how to maximize resources found in nature. Next to the Bible it is the most printed, translated and read book in history.
Optional: I first suggest that you read Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to set the foundation of what it takes for human survival in any age.
Have a great day and a great adventure.
