SPRING GAMES

The man woke up irritated, opened the window and looked around for the reason for all that noise.
Four floors below, on the concrete playground, some children were trying to catch a butterfly that, trying to escape, flapped its wings out of sync.
The laughter and shrill screams had put a stop to the man's sleep. From the window, without speaking, he was enjoying the children's fun.
The butterfly, desperate, managed to get away from the boys by flying very high, so high that when it passed through the man's window, he caught it with his hands.
When he looked down smiling, expecting the children's sadistic complicity, he heard a hiss of disappointment.
He released the butterfly, closed the window and, rather sadly, tried to sleep again.
