Serving Dinner At The Meadows

Back in the kitchen late on a Saturday night Cal found himself out of the money but needed to go forth despite change not being in his pocket. “Are you bereaved Hanover?” A question was asked in a show of support.

Having a tissue to her nose Hanover responded, “it all happened in a second, Declan Seelster found his place right at the end.”

Heading back onto the restaurant floor Hanover picked up her cocktail tray then aggressively plowed through to the table where two winners Hudson and Bernard were seated enjoying the spectacular Meadows view.

“Hello, Hudson,” she said all the teary emotion removed, “Bernard, you are winners but remember it was not by much.”

“He was a big favorite in these parts,” Bernard reminded Hudson, “had a lot of media buzz when he had a show.”

“Oh, yes,” Hudson added, “he loved the second girl in the band, Roundtown Rocker.”

Prepared to scribble on a small notepad Hanover clarified the blurriness being stated in the conversation, “her name was Whiskey Lindy, she was the backup singer and Declan comforted her when she was out of the money.”

After taking the pairs’ order Hanover stepped away from the two and once a good distance away, “Hudson,” Bernard continued the subject, “it was Lindy’s big bang that made her a winner with Declain Seelster the odds-on favorite.”

“Lindy’s big bang was quite a number,” Hudson agreed, “filled with wonderous special effects.”

Returning backstage that serviced the rural community, “I love the action of today’s winners dining here tonight,” Hanover had an outburst, “Declan was the favorite.”

Taking a break from his culinary duty Cal consoled Hanover, “And his favorite thing to do was ‘love the action’,” this comment strengthened Hanover, “your right Cal, Whiskey Lindy was our third rock ‘out of the money' in the house shot glass.”

“That is right,” Cal confirmed to Hanover, and she decided to let them bring the thunder dialogue to the Meadows eating place.

Peering out there was a lunar romantic display being presented with the outdoor landscape illumination providing the stage. Finding a little a financial friendly chuckle inside her she whispered aloud, “such a pink image, it must be a Jackie Moon show.”

An elderly couple who loved watching Jackie Moon perform in the tropics were ready to leave stopped off to offer a thought, “Hanover, Declan Seelster, you know he is in a better place,”

“Yes, my dear we had Harold and Bernard on top in our exacta box,” the wife explained.

“You know that Jackie Moon, does come out at the most interesting times when dealing with overwhelming favorites,” the husband added not saying a word about trifectas.
