R.J. Tina

Jennie jumped into Nanna's arms and greeted her with a big hug and kiss. What a joy to have this precious child visiting.

"What can we do today?" she shouted.

"Well what is it you would like to do" ? Nana knew Jennie always had an answer.

"Let's play dolls. And let's pretend my animals are real. Here Nanna, you have the raccoon and I'll have the tiger."

Answers were never a problem for Nana's granddaughter. She always had an answer or a more inquisitive question in reply. Her imagination could out-do any other.

Jennie had the most beautiful brown eyes and pretty smile. She could wrap the biggest of us around her little finger with a mere glance.

Off to the toy room we went to pick out a few dolls."Do you like this one with the tan and long dark brown hair ? "

"No thankyou, I'd rather have the one with the pink bow that lights up. She even has a bracelet and ring.Don't you like this one best too Nanna"?

"Oh yes, but I think I will still take the one with the brown hair . What did you name her Jennie"?

"Nanna, you remember, Her name is R.J. Tina."

How could she forget ? Nanna had taken Jennie to the grocery store and there on a bill-board was a contest to win a trip. Gracing the ad was a gorgious long haired, dark tanned lady atop of a horse.

"I wish I could go there," Jennie announced.

"Where"?

"With that lady," she wispered as she pointed to the picture.

"Argentina?" Nanna surprisingly asked.

"Yes with R.J.Tina" she squealled.

Is it any wonder this doll carries that name?

Nanna chuckled and then put the memory of this day deep into her heart then she and Jennies were off to play with dolls and pretend animals..
