“Private Space”

I guess from your now it would be the future but this for me was the city of dreams. I would come to see some decimated by war and others ruled by love, loyalty and treasure. But I am merely a lowly poet not deemed worthy to live on so I have only this space.

A cryo-sleep chamber and a little room to enjoy when they finally find me useless and kill me.

I remember the doctor telling me that this was my own space my new place of peace on a star ship to inhabit a world of our own.

It seems like years traveling these fractals, these shale existences that scatter and break. But sometimes they fuse creating new realities and shatters of their own. This is where I was when I was awoken. I simply came to be all memory of the past lost but the work remained. I studied and began writing on my own again. Since I had a direct line into the computer I had access to the AI as well. With its help I became famous postings videos blogs they all knew my name and if it didn’t happen in an instant it happened over night until I awoke in my frigid glassy cage went to my computer and checked to see 10 million new messages. All I had to do was read the first one.

“Hello CS my name is Dierdra and I’m 19 and I don’t know what happened. I read your poetry and somehow I changed. It’s like I could see for the first time. CS you are a wonderful poet and I would do anything to show you my appreciation.”
