Pelican Creek Part Two
Segwa Lowered Alexandria to the ground. Looking at her in a different way. Smiling she walked off gracefully. They went into their teepees to sleep through the night. Both thinking of each other in their dreams that night.
The four of them woke to the sunrise and all with energy. They all grabbed their surfboards, Alex’s was painted with the British Flag that Said Hail to the Queen and Rip Curls of Pelican Creek, Alexandria’s has the Peace Symbol written on it and quotes from famous people. Segwa had tribal designs on his with a horse in the water and Sasha had a Spanish Ship Sailing on hers. They all rode wooden surf boards and they liked it that way. Let’s head to the ocean before nine that’s when we have to be back to speak on our tours.
We’ll be back in two hours they told their group. We don’t want to miss the gorgeous day out there. So off they went surfing as the sun came up. They were gliding the tunnels before them and spraying each other as they went by. Some were out videotaping them. The four of them looked like famous movies stars out there that you would see in a movie. Tanned and Beautiful they rode like dolphins through the water and like they have always been at sea.
Adults were walking the beaches hand and hand. Enjoying the morning with all the rest. Why the Children were already on the beach making sandcastles with rivers and turtles with their beach pail and shovels.
You could see painters out with their canvases painting pictures of the dolphins and whales. One of them are even painting a picture of a native American Wolf that stood there strong with White, Black and Gray Fur wild with Blue Eyes. Another one is painting a portrait of Segwa and the rest of them surfing the waves. He promised to give it to him when he finishes it to hang in the Castle the Queen built as long as he can make two.
The Trolley rides today were a lot of fun they had bus loads of children taking a school trip there that day and they were causing hell all over Pelican Creek. By the end of the day all of them were tired and after teaching a bunch of them how to surf today they were glad to see the chief’s wife and sit down to dinner and then go to bed.
The woke up to screaming children everywhere asking them to go to the beach that morning and Segwa looked at Alexandria as they were leaving that morning and the chief noticed. He looked at his wife and smiled. He told her just that month before that it would be nice if Segwa liked Alexandria and the four of them carried on the Pelican Creek Tradition that they were always meant to.
The chief and the townspeople started the school for their children and their children’s, children to learn work and fall in love with each other. So far, it has worked throughout the generations. It doesn’t come without its bad times, but the older generations fix it.
They had hundreds of tourists come in that day and Alex is starting to come of age and they want him to learn to ride with the Spanish exhibit and wear the suit of Armor. They are even giving him 6 months off of school to do it. He was 5’8” then and they expected him to become about 6’3 and with his strong body he will do a great job and look great on one of the horses. Tradition means that he has to pick one of the wild horse’s ad tame and train him himself. He was looking forward to the challenge. They all told him they would miss him during the day, but they would make it up to him when they go surfing.
The four of them also were given their own shops to do their crafts in and they made windows in the front of the stores so that when tourist walk by, they can see them in the window working. They were so excited!!!
They also were introduced to an immigrant from Spain that knew how to make metal Armor by hand and also had specialized skills in custom engineering and architecture. His name was Diego and he was 21 years old and was going to keep his eye on all four of them from now on. A group leader. Diego has a surprise for all of them and so does the chief. They are going to buy the island 25 miles offshore and call it peace island. They are also going to make a wooden ship like the Spanish along time ago and the three of them why Alex is learning to tame the horse and ride in the exhibit the three of them were going to help Alex with all of it.
The ship is going to be 100 ft long and be able to carry 50 passengers to people island every hour. Diego also surfs and in contests all over the world and is sponsored by every sports wear company around the world. He also frequents covers of surfing magazines all over. Diego is single but searches for that someone all the time. He has even been known to take out the wealthiest and most beautiful women in the world, but none have captured his heart.
They also brought in a British UK piolet to run the sea plane over to the Island and give Helicopter rides too. He name is William, but everyone calls him Bill. He has blonde hair and icy cold blue eyes with a dark tan and stands 6 ft. tall and is 21 years old too. His personality is quick, and he can be bit of a handful sometimes with his jet piolet background from the Army, but everyone loves him. We will always know were safe around him.
Segwa looked at Alex and said the two new recruits are awesome. They were recommended to us and they will bring in a lot more tourist to the area with their fame. The chief couldn’t wait to show everyone that night at the meeting the miniature replica that Diego designed and brought with him for their plans at Peace Island. The Indian Tribe is going to build it and the locals all agreed to help and pitch in. It will boost the economy here and bring in lots of extra income for the Reserve.
At the big town meeting tonight will go over all the details and introduce Diego and Bill to everyone. When Segwa introduced Alexandria and Sasha to Diego and Bill they were blushing and flirting with them. When Segwa saw it he immediately got mad and gave Alexandria a dirty look. Alexandria immediately stopped and told Alex she was sorry he is just so famous and good looking. Diego pulled Segwa aside and said don’t worry about it they all act like that with me. It goes with the surfing titles. Diego said you know Segwa you are quite famous yourself and good looking. Diego said you will get used to it and it won’t bother you. Besides Segwa I noticed her looing at you for 30 minutes. Segwa pushed out his chest and arrogantly smile about this. I also see all kinds of girls flirting with you too and he again smiled about this and grabbed for his surfboard and ran to get in a couple waves before the big night tonight. The tourists were also welcomed to the big meeting and they were holding it outside.
“Hey Alex”! Diego just gave me a compliment. Cool said Alex. “Are you ready for the town meeting tonight.” “Yes, I am!” They asked me to bring some drawings to help out with some of our traditional art. “Are you bringing some?” He said “no” “Sasha is much better at that and she will probably bring some”.
“Where are they speaking of them?”, “I just saw them, and they were flirting with Diego and Bill”. That figures. Anyways, let catch some waves and then go get ready. Surfing is off today because of the event. Let’s Go.
The four of them finally got back to the reserve and they were showering when the chief came up and shouted for all of them to hurry up. You still need to eat dinner at the cabin and my wife has been cooking all day. “Okay”, they all said in Unisom.
Segwa put on cologne and Alex laughed and said give me some of that. They put on white t-shirts and Levi jeans and met the girls out front. They decided to ride the bikes and carriages just for the fun of it into town. It was only a couple of miles to the town hall and everyone was already excited all over and gathering. The four of them went to eat and then they were off like lighting.
The chief called the meeting to order and everyone hushed up. There was a cover over the miniature of Peace Island, and everyone was waiting impatiently and anxiously waiting to see it.
He walked over there with 3 others that were in charge of the different areas and all at once they pulled off the cover and the crowd gasped in awe and some shouted out loud and clapping wildly. The rocks were high in the air with lit torches and totem poles on both sides and in the middle were four water slides with water shooting out and a pool below. In the water was a wooden Spanish ship with four canons that Diego was going to build, a wave pool and in the ocean was miniature dolphins and whales going by as the crowd watches. It looked so life like everyone could see it come to life. They had a part for the smaller children to play and they built a dock and a landing area for the sea planes and helistop.
Alex was so excited that he asked Bill if he could teach him to fly and Bill said yes. Alex jumped high in the air and knocked Sasha to the ground. He said I am sorry, but I am going to be a piolet one day and then he said the unthinkable to her and told her then you will think of me. Sasha blushed and said we’ll see about that.
All four of them walked around for a while chatting with some others and the chief spoke of the 500-million-dollar reserve fund for the budget and it was passed unanimously. Then the four of them overwhelmed with excited headed back to the reserve and went to bed.
